Wires

A loose fan of wires crosses the frame on a shallow diagonal, thinning toward the right where a single streetlamp stands sentry, its arm and fixture cut into hard silhouette. The sky behind is a soft, grainy wash of gray, brightening low and left where a pale smudge — cloud, or something burning off — drags across the horizon.

The film grain does as much work here as the wires themselves, turning an ordinary sky into something granular and unsettled. It's a quiet composition built entirely from horizontals and one small vertical accent, the kind of restraint that rewards a second, slower look.
