Rendered in black and white, an oak trunk arcs low and dramatically across the frame, a palmetto standing upright beside it and a scatter of broken statuary visible on the ground below. The wide, low angle exaggerates the tree's lean, turning what is otherwise a fairly common Bonaventure oak into something closer to a gesture. One of the last black-and-white frames from the morning at Bonaventure, taken low to the ground to catch the tree's full arc against the sky.
