The London Dungeon has been telling the city's darker stories — the Black Death, the Great Fire, Jack the Ripper — since 1974. The attraction's facade on the South Bank, all carved theatrics and gothic lettering, is a piece of London performance in its own right: the building announces what it is loudly enough that you can hear it from across Westminster Bridge.
