A second view of the fountain, from a different angle. The tradition of throwing coins into the Trevi — over the left shoulder, with the right hand, to ensure a return to Rome — is collected each night by city workers and donated to Caritas, the Catholic charity. The Trevi raises about €1.5 million a year for the poor, in coins.
