In black and white, a long row of bleached trunks reflects in the wet sand at low tide, a large uprooted stump anchoring the foreground on the right. This is close to the canonical view of Capers Island's boneyard beach — the reflection doubling the row of dead trees and making the whole scene feel even larger than it is.
