In Piazza Uffizi

A second view of the Uffizi courtyard, from inside the space rather than across it. The colonnade along both sides of the piazzale is lined with nineteenth-century statues of famous Tuscans — Dante, Petrarch, Boccaccio, Galileo, Michelangelo, Leonardo. The statues are easy to walk past on the way to the gallery; they are a quiet anthology of the people who made Florence Florence.
