A second dusk view of the city, taken from a different vantage. Bristol is hilly enough — and laid out irregularly enough — that no two views of the skyline give you quite the same composition. The Clifton heights, the harbor flats, the cathedral, the Georgian terraces, the cranes of the old docks: every angle reorganizes them. Made in May 2023 during my first visit to England. The pull of England, for me, was the same as the pull of Scotland — a country that wears its history openly and rewards the time you spend walking through it.
