Wrigley Field

The home of the Chicago Cubs since 1914, Wrigley Field is defined by the things that have not changed: the red marquee over the entrance, the ivy on the brick outfield wall, the manually operated scoreboard standing since 1937. It is a working monument to baseball as it used to be played.

Photographed June 2024. The famous marquee is the whole identity of the place in a single sign. Black and white strips away the modern gloss and leaves the bones of a ballpark that has watched the city change around it for over a century.
