Unfocused Sign

Everything is soft. A blank, glowing rectangle floats left of center, its light blooming into the dusk, while a thin sapling and a low stone sit nearby and a dark band of trees holds the horizon. The deliberate lack of focus drains away detail and leaves only shape and glow.

What's left is mood — quiet, a little melancholy, suspended. The empty sign becomes a small luminous void the eye keeps returning to, a place where meaning has been switched off and only presence remains.
