The Trevi Fountain is the largest Baroque fountain in Rome and one of the most famous in the world. It was designed by Nicola Salvi in 1732, completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, and marks the terminal point of the Aqua Virgo — an aqueduct built in 19 BC that still supplies the fountain's water. The sculpture is centered on Oceanus in a shell-shaped chariot drawn by two seahorses.
Made in October 2016 in black and white during my first time in Italy. The Trevi is constantly crowded; the trick is to photograph it at hours when most people have other plans.
