The Victoria Tower marks the southern end of the Palace of Westminster — and at 325 feet, it is actually taller than its more famous sibling at the northern end. It houses the Parliamentary Archives, including originals of every Act of Parliament passed since 1497. A flag flying from its top tells passersby whether Parliament is in session. Made in May 2023 during my first trip to London. The Victoria Tower gets less attention than the clock tower across the building from it, but it has been holding up the older end of British law for over a hundred and sixty years, and it deserves a portrait of its own.
