The old triple-arched bridge at Sligachan was built in 1810 by Thomas Telford — the same engineer whose work I'd already crossed at Invermoriston days before. It carries the eye toward the Cuillin Hills beyond, and it is one of the most recognizable views on Skye. Bypassed long ago by the modern road, it now belongs to walkers, photographers, and whoever cares to wait for the light.
Made in late May 2023, with the bridge in foreground and the Cuillin gathering cloud behind it. Some places have been photographed so many times that there's a temptation to skip them; this is not one of those places.
