Positano climbs the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast in tiers of pastel houses, stacked so steeply above the water that the town has almost no flat ground at all. Photographed in October 2016 during my first trip to Italy, on the coastal leg of a journey that had already taken in Rome, Florence, and Venice.
