A second view of the piazza, in black and white. The Fountain of the Four Rivers — completed by Bernini in 1651 — represents the Nile, the Ganges, the Danube, and the Río de la Plata, the four great rivers of the four known continents at the time of its making. The obelisk at its center is Roman, from the time of Domitian.
Made in October 2016 in black and white during my first time in Rome.
