Lines at Bend

A steel lattice transmission tower rises just off-center, its wires fanning out and up to the left in a wide, sweeping arc, the whole structure silhouetted against tall, sculptural clouds. The tower's crossarms punctuate the diagonal sweep of cable with small, sharp horizontals.

The bend of the title is really the bend of the wires themselves as they curve away from the tower — a single structural idea rendered as pure line, with just enough cloud behind it to keep the sky from going flat.
