Arrows

Seen from above, an empty deck spreads out at night: painted arrows point in contradictory directions across worn concrete, ramps and rails cut diagonals through the frame, and pools of lamplight float in deep shadow. No cars, no people — only instructions with no one to follow them.

The emptiness is what makes it strange. All that signage and direction, photographed as quiet abstract geometry, tips into the surreal: a place built for motion, held perfectly still.
