Deep woods climb a slope in tight ranks of trunks, the forest floor a mess of leaf litter and low growth until a single patch of undergrowth catches full sun on the right side of the frame. No trail is visible here — just the sense of the mountainside continuing on above and below the camera.
Where the previous shot follows a path, this one drops the trail entirely and lets the forest itself carry the image, the one sunlit patch doing all the work against an otherwise even, shadowed hillside. It reads less as a hike and more as a moment of standing still in the woods.
